3. The Importance of Aunties and Uncles. Skype, Facebook, texting and emails are all ways to let your nieces and nephews know that you're thinking of them.

And my god parents whom are my dad's best friend, I call them Aunt and Uncle and they have been around for over 30 years - probably close to 45-50 since he and my dad grew up together, which is what I hope for my friends with my LO. When I told my friends the news they all went 'oooh i'm going to be an aunt/uncle'.
